Herban farmers who bring high-quality microgreens to local communities.

We are two twenty-somethings who are passionate about plants, urban farming and all things related. When we learned about microgreens in early 2019 we were quick to begin experimenting and growing. In time what began was a business fueled by our inspiration to share these little guys and their healing potential with our community. The chance to provide families and restaurants with fresh local produce is what continues to inspire us from seed to harvest!

Justyna Surowiec

Justyna graduated from Saint Peters University in 2017 with a B.S in Biology and wishes to merge her background in science and love of plants to change the face of modern agriculture and environmental sustainability. Other than spending her time at Herban Harvest she is also a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner. Justyna's wishes for Herban Harvest is to provide microgreens in the most professional and sustainable way on a local scale.

If you don't catch Juvy taking care of microgreens you can find him working in his studio on various projects for his graphic design clients. He graduated from Kean University in 2017 with a BFA in Graphic Design where he a joined the Groundwork Elizabeth team. During his three years working for G.E he was exposed to urban farming and worked on a multitude of community projects. Once he discovered microgreens he knew it was an opportunity to pursue his passion for agriculture as a business.
